Does for Dough
Help Control Doe Overpopulation in Southern Illinois While Earning $25 Per Harvested Doe
The Washington County Farm Bureau Does for Dough Program is designed to encourage the harvest of legally taken does while helping address deer overpopulation and the damage deer can cause to agricultural production throughout Southern Illinois.
Deer cause more than $400 million in damage to corn and soybean production across Illinois every year. By participating in Does for Dough, Washington County Farm Bureau members can help support local agriculture while receiving a cash payment for eligible doe harvests.
How the Program Works
From October 1, 2026, through January 22, 2027, eligible Washington County Farm Bureau members can bring in a tag for any legally harvested doe to the Washington County Farm Bureau office. Members will receive $25 in cash for each eligible doe harvested, with a maximum of five doe payments per member. Payments are subject to budgetary limitations.
Eligibility & Requirements
To participate:
You must be a current Washington County Farm Bureau member or a dependent of a member. Membership dues are $70.
You must provide a valid hunting license and the doe tag with its confirmation number.
The firearm or archery tag must be designated for Washington County.
Harvests must be legally taken and properly tagged.
Each member may receive payment for up to five does.
When & Where to Receive Payment
Payments will be made at the Washington County Farm Bureau office during regular business hours:

Payment Dates: October 1, 2026 – January 15, 2027
Please note: The program participation period runs through January 22, 2027, while payments at the office are available through January 15, 2027.

Racoon Roundup
Help Us Get the Raccoon Population Under Control!
How It Works: Roundup Dates:
• Receive $3 for every raccoon tail you present
• Individual submitting the tails must have an active Washington CFB membership
• Must provide hunting or trapping license and habitat stamp
• Limit 50 tails per member per collection date
• Cash payout on each date tails will be marked and returned to the individual at the Washington CFB office, 246 W Saint Louis St, Nashville, IL from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.

• February 15
All tails must be taken in accordance with Illinois laws and hunting/trapping regulations. For additional roundup rules visit:

Join us for a meeting August 6, 2026 at 7:00p.m. Women who enjoy agriculture will meet to plan fun and exciting activates to support and educated about agriculture!
Some activities include:
handing our ice cream at the county fair, fun trivia events for June is Dairy Month, Farm Safety week, and so much more!
Nutrient Stewardship Field Day
Washington County Farm Bureau (CFB) is hosting
a summer field day as part of their multiyear
cover crop project. This program will feature
discussion on cover crop planting, regenerative
agriculture management, soil health monitoring,
and the importance of cover crops on carbon
sequestration.
Lunch provided afterwards.

Prime Timer's
55 or older?
Join us for a meeting the second Tuesday of each month at 8:00am for breakfast and guest speakers.
The Prime Timer Committee’s purpose is to socialize and sponsor educational programs with other Farm Bureau members that are 55 years old and above. We generally hold monthly meetings at The Original Springs, we like to start with breakfast at 8:00 a.m. and encourage your participation and ideas.

The annual WCFB Ice Cream social is a great opportunity to catch up with Farm Bureau members! The Young Leader group will be cooking pork burgers and we will have plenty of ice cream. Must be a Farm Bureau member.
