Does for Dough
Help Control Doe Overpopulation in Southern Illinois While Earning $25 Per Harvested Doe
The Washington County Farm Bureau Does for Dough Program is designed to encourage the harvest of legally taken does while helping address deer overpopulation and the damage deer can cause to agricultural production throughout Southern Illinois.
Deer cause more than $400 million in damage to corn and soybean production across Illinois every year. By participating in Does for Dough, Washington County Farm Bureau members can help support local agriculture while receiving a cash payment for eligible doe harvests.
How the Program Works
From October 1, 2026, through January 22, 2027, eligible Washington County Farm Bureau members can bring in a tag for any legally harvested doe to the Washington County Farm Bureau office.
